UV ink curing process is a kind of photo chemical reaction process, is a process of a linear structure into a mesh structure, so the printing ink layer with water, alcohol and abrasion resistance, anti-aging, and many other advantages, including less than other types of this ink scratch resistance and chemical resistance, it is one of the main requirements combination label printing.
The principle of UV curing also determines that it is very suitable for printing non-absorbent printing materials.
As a type of ink, UV printer inks must have bright colors (except under special conditions), good print ability and a suitable curing and drying rate. At the same time with good adhesion, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, weather resistance and other characteristics. When we use UV ink, ensure that UV printer ink drying is very important.

There are four ways to determine how UV printer ink is fully cured by UV lamps.

1. Pencil hardness test:

Tested by a pencil hardness tester and, if required (usually 3-4h), the ink has been completely cured. If not, consider the timing of the curing, the power of the UV lamp, and the speed of the UV belt conveyor.

2. Drop solvent test:

Depending on the solvent function, the propionic acid solution drips on the surface for 2 minutes, and if confirmed, the ink is not dried by the UV lamp. Ink completely solidified, internal molecular structure changes, and then ink form a solid coating.

3. Pressure maintenance:

With the bottom flat surface about 500g weight, put a small amount of cotton fiber on the product surface, the weight of cotton fiber in a few minutes, then remove it, if the cotton silk fiber will not stick to it, you can confirm the ink completely cured.

4. Surface appearance:

The surface of the fully cured UV ink is very bright and does not appear on the surface of the ink. There is no shadow on the edge, and the whole effect is perfect.
