Color reproduction of sublimation inkjet printers is one of the most important indicators for evaluating print quality, just like color reproduction. An ideal color copy would be a restoration of the original color. Since the color of the original may sometimes deviate, the color copy should meet the reproduction requirements.
Meanwhile, in the process of color reproduction, it is affected by color separation, light source, output material, development and other conditions. The quantitative evaluation of color reproduction is a very complicated problem. Objectively speaking, it would be better if the color of the print and the color of the scene were closer to the physical quantity. However, no ideal device can completely replace the eye. People usually evaluate colors based on memories or impressions of the scene. Memories of common objects often deviate from physical colors. Color sublimation printing of the preferred color deviates from the actual color. For example, in many cases the blue sky is not blue, and green trees are not always green. This makes color reproduction on sublimation printers difficult.

Neutral gray balance reproduction is used as the basis of color reproduction in the printing and copying process of dye sublimation printers. Within the range of tones, print three base inks in varying proportions of cyan, magenta and yellow dots of grey. Before and during printing is called neutral gray balance data. Therefore, neutral gray balance data is used as an important quality standard to monitor the production process from pre-press to printing throughout the image reproduction process. In the process of color reproduction: the color should conform to the original, true, natural and harmonious. The difference between prints of the same batch of products is less than 5.

The resolution of sublimation printing machine is the ability to distinguish and reproduce the details of the original image or to analyze the original scene. The definition is concerned with the sharpness of image details, mainly the sharpness of image edges and the edge of lines.

The resolution of the printed image depends largely on the number of lines added to the screen. However, the number of screen printing materials and printing methods are limited. You cannot always get the highest resolution. The accuracy of the printer will affect the resolution of the image.
